Baby Cinderella Costume
Infant dressed in a baby Cinderella costume is an awfully cute concept although a little whimsical. First of all, dressing infant in Cinderella Halloween costumes or any other type costumes, for that matter, is really for adults because babies don’t know any different. Secondly, Cinderella did not become the princess that she did until she was old enough to make it to the royal ball on her own and to then meet her Prince Charming who, as we all know, fell in love with her and proceeded to pledge his undying devotion.
So why do people dress babies in Disney Princess Cinderella costumes? I would venture to claim that a better question would, why not? Why should babies wear Cinderella costume dresses? Tiny little girls in miniscule Cinderella outfits make for terrific pictures to love and cherish for many years to come.

Cinderella which is also often referred to at The Little Glass Slipper is a classic tale which actually dates back to times of antiquity as it embodies elements of unjust oppression which then culminate in triumphant rewards. As the story traveled through the ages and as it immersed itself in various culture it morphed and reshaped itself but its core essence always remained intact.
Literary historians have uncovered thousands of versions of the fairytale we all know and love so well. It is important to note that the word “cinderella” has taken on analogous meanings referring to one whose true qualities go unrecognized or one who suddenly gains the well deserved recognition or obtains unexpected success.
The earliest known “Cinderella” version was recorded in the 1st century BC and it depicts a Greco-Egyptian girl named Rhodopis. Another “Cinderella” version from the far east appeared around 860 AD in “Miscellaneous Morsels from Youyang“ by Tuan Ch’eng-Shih and it talks about a girl named Ye Xian. A “Cinderella” theme appears in the medieval “One Thousand and One Nights” which is also known as the “Arabian Nights” and a Japanese “Cinderella” version speaks about a girl named Chūjō-hime. Even the acclaimed brothers Grimm (Jacob and Wilhelm) recorded a “Cinderella” story in the 19th century.
